How to create light-reflective glass skin using Pink and Gold Shimmer High Shine Solid Body Oil
Glass skin is less about applying more makeup and more about placing light exactly where you want it.
This is the professional technique I use to create luminous, light-reflective skin across the face and body. It combines the cool brightness of PROSHINE Pink Shimmer High Shine Solid Body Oil with the sunlit warmth of Gold Shimmer High Shine Solid Body Oil.
The result? Skin that looks fresh, dimensional and almost lit from within.
What you’ll need

A thin, highly pigmented foundation
A light, fluffy foundation brush
Step 1: Brighten under the eyes
Apply Pink Shimmer underneath the eyes before foundation.
The cool pink tone helps to colour-correct, brighten and give the under-eye area a fresh, hydrated-looking finish.
Step 2: Create warmth with Gold Shimmer
Apply Gold Shimmer across the panels of the cheeks, the top of the forehead and the brow bones.
Take it down onto the chest, too. These are the areas where warm light naturally catches the skin.
Step 3: Add a light veil of foundation
Using a light, fluffy brush, apply a thin layer of highly pigmented foundation over the skin.
The aim is not to cover the shimmer completely. Simply even out any redness or blemishes while allowing the luminosity underneath to shine through.
Step 4: Bring back the light
Once your foundation is in place, go back in with Pink Shimmer.
Apply it to:
The eyelids
The tops of the cheekbones
Across the bridge of the nose
The Cupid’s bow
Around the outer edge of the mouth
Finish with a galactic, light-pink lip. It looks divine with this technique.
Step 5: Connect the face and body
Add a little Pink Shimmer to the collarbones and the tops of the shoulders.
This brings the entire look together, creating one continuous glass-skin finish across the face, chest and body.
Why Pink and Gold work together
Pink Shimmer brings a cool, pearlescent brightness. Gold Shimmer adds warmth and dimension.
When the two are layered together, the contrasting tones play off one another to create a multidimensional glow that catches and reflects light from every angle. That contrast is the secret to making the skin look glassy rather than simply shiny.
When to wear it
This is the technique to pull out for a wedding, birthday, christening, party or any occasion where you want to walk into the room looking exceptionally put together.
It photographs beautifully, looks incredible in movement and gives the skin an editorial finish without requiring complicated makeup.
